Within the Oriade/Amuwo axis of Lagos State, his name rings a very loud bell. Engineer Arafat Emiola Babs-Olorunkemi over the years has wormed his way into the hearts of men, women and children who make up the area. The grassroots politician who comes from a politically inclined family was the former councilor of Ward E2, Oriade LCDA between 2011-2014 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and he is still waxing strong.
Olorunkemi was also the minority leader of Oriade Legislative Council and also the chairman of Conference of PDP Elected Councilors, Lagos Chapter. He did not stop there. To underscore is popularity, he was also a one-time National Vice Chairman (Southwest) PDP Councilors Forums. Presently, he is an aspirant for the chairmanship of Oriade LCDA in the forthcoming local government election.
